DPNZ Black Horse Hotel NZ Dart Masters Qualifier Two

32 Entrants came to try and qualify to take out the second NZ spot on the PDC stage in Hamilton on 26th August 2022.

20 Players qualified for Knockout Play.

All first round knockout matches were great match ups, Haupai Puha beat Mike Keen 4 to nil, Simon Lancaster beat Peter Eccles 4 to nil, Stu Irwin beat Tukina Weko 4 to nil and the big upset for the day was Ben Robb fighting back from 2 legs down against Darren Herewini to even the match up 3 legs all only be beaten in the decider, Darren winning 4 legs to 3.

In the top 16 Josh Roberts took out A J Te Kira 4-1. Max Dallimore took out Jimmy Samuels 4-1 and Landon Gardiner took out Jamie Roberts 4-1. Jonty Roberts beat Josh Walters 4-1 and Kayden Milne beat Bennett Jones 4 – 2. A close match between Craig Ross and Alan Skayman saw Alan come out the victor 4 – 3. Haupai Puha beat Simon Lancaster 4 – 0 and Stu Irwin beat Darren Herewini 4 – 1.

Down to the top 8 and Haupai Puha was methodical with his win off 5 – 0 over Stu Irwin. Kayden Milne threw some great darts to defeat Jonty Reede 5 – 3. Max Dallimore made a comeback defeating Josh Roberts 5 – 4. Great battle right to the last dart between Landon Gardiner and Alan Skayman, great match to watch with Landon Gardiner the eventual victor 5 – 4.

Semi Final time

Haupai Puha was again methodical in his win over Max Dallimore 6 – 1. Landon Gardiner had the match but let Kayden Milne back in and Kayden took absolute advantage coming back and taking the match 6 – 4.

Final time and it was Haupai Puha up against Kayden Milne.
