The PDC, in cooperation with Dartplayers Australia, have announced the qualification path for domestic players to make the stage in the fourth iteration of the hosting of the World Series of Darts in Wollongong in August 2025.
The top 4 local players from the DPA World Series Order of Merit will play in Wollongong. This Order of Merit will be determined over the first four weekends of DPA events in 2025, with players gaining points towards the DPA World Series Order of Merit from their results in Saturday and Sunday, thus a total of 12 events.
The Friday night events over these four weekends will see players playing for the right to qualify for the World Series spot in New Zealand. The top local player from that table will gain a position at the New Zealand Darts Masters Auckland back hosting a World Series of Darts event this year.
The events included are:
3 x Albury Winmau DPA pro tour (Saturday & Sunday 22nd 23rd February)- NZ event Friday 21st Feb
3 x Bunbury Winmau DPA pro tour (Saturday & Sunday 5th 6th April)- NZ event Friday 4th April
3 x Albury Winmau DPA pro tour (Saturday & Sunday 14th 15th June)- NZ event Friday 13th June
3 x Warilla Winmau DPA pro tour (Saturday & Sunday 12th 13th July)- NZ event Friday 11th July
The World Championship Order Of Merit will also continue during these events. The World Championship Order Of Merit began in September 2024 at the Fraternity Club Fairymeadow, includes the above dates, and will conclude at the Commercial Club in Albury in September this year. The winner from that table will qualify for the PDC World Championships.
There are more and more opportunities opening up for local players on PDC supported events thus it is an exciting time to be a part of these pathways through the DPA in 2025.
The Australian Darts Masters is back at the WIN Entertainment Centre Wollongong NSW on Friday the 8th and Saturday the 9th of August 2025.
