Darts returns to Albury from June 13 to 15, 2025, with entries now open for the next leg of the Dartplayers Australia Pro Tour. The weekend at the Commercial Club will feature Pro Tour, Ladies, and Challenge Tour events. Add the chase for a World Series of Darts stage spot, and it is a weekend packed with top-tier competition and serious rewards.
Friday night sees the penultimate event for the New Zealand Masters World Series Qualifier. In this race Brandon Weening leads the standings on 28 points, eight clear of both GG Mathers and Mitchel Beswick. Brody Klinge and Stephen Ireland sit just four points behind that pair. As there are twenty points up for grabs for the winner there is a massive opportunity for somebody to chase down the leaders if they slip up.
The race to qualify for positions at the Australian Masters World Series in Wollongong will continue in Events 10 to 12 on Saturday and Sunday. This race currently has Joe Comito leading the way on 68 points, as he aims to be on stage at Wollongong once again. Former World Series of Darts representatives James Bailey and Stuart Coburn are eight and ten points behind respectively, with Brody Klinge holding off his opponents in fourth position with 52 points. There are big names in darts chasing those four, with the likes of Weening, Kokiri, Mathers, Cuming, Fagg, Aitken, Pusey and Penhall ranked close behind.
Comito also leads the DPA Order of Merit, which determines Australia’s qualifier for the PDC World Championship. With three events over Saturday and Sunday awarding the winner twenty points each time, there are multiple opportunities to catch or close the gap on Comito (124 points). James Bailey is on 94 and Stuart Coburn on 86 points in second and third respectively, in prime position to pounce if the West Australian slips up over the weekend. Names like Weening, Klinge, Mathers, Porter, Kemp, Pusey, Kokiri, Fagg, Cuming, Aitken, Wolter and Penhall are the next dozen players trying to make up ground on the leaders, demonstrating the quality of DPA fields in 2025.
After this weekend there will only be one more weekend of events to chase for positions at the World Series of Darts (at Warilla in July), and two more weekends of events (inclusive of Warilla) to gain top spot on the DPA Order of Merit for that PDC World Championships of Darts position.
The Ladies and Challenge Tours also run across the three days, with three events each. Jade Lock leads the Ladies on 60 points, while Mark Anderson tops the Challenge Tour chase on 44.
Entries for all events across the weekend are now open via the DPA website:
